On Friday 26th September 2025, Wings of Growth CIC proudly launched the Active Futures Project, a new programme of free sports sessions designed for children and young people aged 10–18 in Hackney.

Running every Wednesday and Friday, 6–8pm, these sessions take place at:

• Gainsborough Playing Fields (Fridays)
• Stamford Hill Estate Ball Court (Entrance via Lynmouth Road) (Wednesdays)

Funded by Sport England and UnLtd, and supported by Southern Housing Group, Active Futures is about more than just sport. It’s about creating safe, inclusive spaces that build confidence, teamwork, wellbeing, and community connection for local young people.

This project follows on from the success of our Nurturing Futures launch earlier this summer, continuing our commitment to empowering families, children, and communities across Hackney.
